On October 25, 2015, we publicly launched the Maimonides Institute for Medicine, Ethics and the Holocaust (MIMEH) with a mission to explore the ethical implications of the medical transgressions that took place during the Holocaust for modern scientific theory, medical practice, healthcare policy and human rights endeavors. We are working hard on developing our 2017 slate of programming, which we are proud to announce will focus on commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Doctors' Trial and the publication of the Nuremberg Code. None of this would have been possible without our supporters. As we celebrate our first anniversary, we would like to take a moment to thank each and every person who has believed in our cause and joined our mission to create a Righteous Medicine that values the dignity of human life above the promise of scientific progress. We thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to expanding our audience while continuing to provide low-cost, quality programming that emphasizes the importance of reflecting on the past in order to protect the future.

This past week, MIMEH was in Washington, D.C. to meet with representatives from the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) and present at the American Society for Bioethics and the Humanities (ASBH) Conference to raise awareness regarding the importance of studying medicine, ethics and the Holocaust. These meetings are part of MIMEH's continued efforts to establish partnerships and collaborate with like-minded institutions so that together we can ensure that the legacy of those who perished at the hands of Nazi medicine are not forgotten.
